Film Director Kate Hickey Passionately Discusses Her Film "Roller Dreams"

Film Director Kate Hickey passionately discusses her film "Roller Dreams" with Jeremy that is enter Competition - Feature Documentary in the Bentonville Film Festival.  This film is about the rise and fall of the roller skate scene from 1978 to now.  Check out her interview below.

It’s 1984 and Venice Beach, CA, is at the epicenter of a pop culture explosion. Young people of color seeking refuge from the turmoil of inner city life flock to the eclectic ocean community to create a brand new phenomenon: roller dancing!  But just as roller dancing flourishes, politics, money and gentrification conspire to take their dreams away.
